About us: M/s Pooja Enterprises supplies and fabricates structural steel for infrastructure, power, solar, railway and industrial projects. Our fabrication shop is at Ankurhati / Dhulagari, Howrah, West Bengal.

Role: Plant Manager – Structural Steel Fabrication. You will run the fabrication shop day to day and be responsible for output, quality and on-time dispatch.

Responsibilities

- Plan daily and weekly production from drawings, BOQs and dispatch schedules
- Allocate and supervise fitters, welders, gas cutters, grinders and helpers; track daily output and productivity
- Prepare cutting lists and plan nesting/cutting to minimise scrap
- Coordinate raw material availability with purchase and stores
- Ensure fabrication matches drawings; work with QC on inspections and rectifications
- Plan loading and dispatch with transporters; ensure documents travel with material
- Enforce shop safety, PPE and 5S; maintain machines and tools with the maintenance team




- Send a daily production and dispatch report to management

Requirements

- 5+ years in a structural steel fabrication shop as production in-charge, supervisor or manager
- Robust reading of GA and fabrication drawings
- Experience handling a shop-floor team of 15+ workers
- Diploma/BE Mechanical or Civil preferred; ITI with strong shop experience considered
- Experience with PEB, towers, poles, pipe racks or plant structures is an advantage
- Hindi and Bengali; working English for reports
