Role Description The Planning Engineer role is a full-time, in office position based in Chennai.

The Planning

Engineer will develop and maintain project schedules, coordinate with site teams and stakeholders, and ensure resources are allocated efficiently to meet project milestones. Daily responsibilities include monitoring progress, analyzing data from project sites, updating planning documents, and supporting production planning and project control activities. The role involves preparing reports, identifying risks and deviations, and recommending corrective actions to keep projects on track.

Engineer will also collaborate closely with engineering, procurement, and management teams to support timely and quality-focused project execution.

Qualifications

- Strong project Planning and Production Planning skills, with experience in construction or infrastructure projects.
- Solid Analytical Skills and ability to interpret project data, forecasts, and performance metrics.
- Experience in Project Control, including schedule tracking, progress measurement, and variance analysis.
- Clear and professional Communication skills for coordinating with site teams, contractors, and stakeholders.
- Proficiency in project planning tools (e.g., MS Project, Primavera) and standard office software.
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or related discipline; relevant experience in a planning role is preferred.
- Strong attention to detail, problem-solving mindset, and ability to work in a fast-paced on-site environment.
- Knowledge of construction methodologies, safety standards, and local regulations will be an advantage.
