Job Summary

We are looking for a skilled and responsible Phlebotomist to collect blood samples from patients safely and accurately. The candidate will be responsible for sample collection, proper labelling, sample handling, and maintaining patient comfort while following hygiene and infection control protocols.

Key Responsibilities

- Collect blood samples from patients using appropriate venipuncture techniques.
- Verify patient details and ensure correct labelling of blood samples.
- Follow standard procedures for sample collection, handling, storage, and transportation.
- Maintain hygiene, safety, and infection control standards during all procedures.
- Ensure proper disposal of needles, syringes, and biomedical waste as per established protocols.
- Handle patients professionally and help them feel comfortable during sample collection.
- Maintain accurate records of sample collection and patient information.
- Coordinate with laboratory staff to ensure timely processing of samples.




- Monitor and maintain phlebotomy equipment and sample collection supplies.
- Report sample collection issues, rejected samples, or patient-related concerns to the appropriate team.
- Follow laboratory policies and quality standards.

Eligibility Criteria
- Qualification: DMLT / BMLT or a relevant phlebotomy qualification.
- Experience: 1–3 years of experience in blood sample collection.
- Positive knowledge of venipuncture and sample handling procedures.
- Understanding of infection control and biomedical waste disposal.
- Good communication and patient-handling skills.
- Attention to detail and the ability to maintain accurate records.
- Diagnostic centre or hospital experience preferred.
