Job Purpose To work as part of AVEVAs Core Services team to research, design and implement AVEVAs cloud platform using Microsoft Azure, while providing technical leadership within the team. The role extends beyond individual contribution to ensuring engineering excellence, and cross-team collaboration across the platform. We are looking for developers with a proven record of successfully implementing complex technical solutions, and leading others in doing so at scale, including the application of AI-assisted development.

Principal Accountabilities

- To design and develop cutting edge, secure and resilient features
- To act as the technical authority with the team, leading the resolution of complex technical challenges spanning services
- To work closely with leaders in other teams ensuring alignment and consistency of architecture and design
- To maintain and grow your knowledge
- To actively use AI-assisted development tools to improve engineering productivity and quality

Knowledge, Skills and Experience Required

- Over 14 Years of Professional experience

- Proven strong design and coding skills with a reputation for delivering quality results quickly

- Knowledge of Developing using Microservice/Service Oriented Architectures

- REST API Design Principles

- Experience developing in multiple languages. We primarily use C#

- .NET
- An understanding of database design





- CI/CD and infrastructure as code

- Cloud development, especially Microsoft Azure

- Kubernetes

- Experience using AI-assisted coding tools

Hybrid working

We work in a hybrid way at AVEVA. Most roles are based at a local AVEVA office, with an expectation of being on-site 50% of your working hours to support collaboration and connection. Some positions are fully office-based depending on the nature of the work, and certain roles that support specific customers or markets may be remote. The working arrangement for this position will be confirmed during the hiring process.
