FreshńDew is an emerging skincare brand building products specifically designed to address the skincare problem.
We are currently building our supply chain and preparing for commercial production. We are looking for a highly organised and execution-oriented Packaging & Supply Chain Intern who can help us manage packaging procurement, vendor coordination, production planning and inventory.
About the Role
This is a hands-on role for someone who enjoys getting things done, following up with vendors and keeping multiple moving parts under control.
You will work closely with the Founder, packaging suppliers and manufacturing partners to ensure that the right materials are available at the right quality, quantity, cost and time.
You will be responsible for tracking the complete packaging supply chain from requirement → sourcing → sampling → approval → purchase → production → delivery → inventory.
Key Responsibilities
Packaging Procurement
- Coordinate procurement of bottles, tubes, pumps, caps, labels, cartons and other packaging components.
- Source and evaluate packaging vendors based on quality, cost, MOQ and lead time.
- Request and compare vendor quotations.
- Coordinate packaging samples, revisions and approvals.
- Maintain a database of approved packaging vendors and specifications.
- Track purchase orders and delivery commitments.
Vendor Management
- Coordinate regularly with packaging suppliers and manufacturers.
- Follow up on pending samples, quotations, production and deliveries.
- Maintain a vendor tracker covering PO date, committed date, actual delivery, quantity and pending issues.
- Escalate delays, quality issues or cost changes proactively.
- Build strong working relationships with reliable vendors.
Production & Supply Planning
- Coordinate packaging requirements with production schedules.
- Ensure packaging materials are available before production begins.
- Track material requirements against production plans.
- Identify potential shortages or delays before they affect production.
- Coordinate movement of materials between suppliers, warehouses and manufacturers.
Inventory Management
- Maintain accurate inventory records for packaging materials and finished goods.
- Track consumption, available stock and upcoming requirements.
- Maintain minimum stock/reorder levels.
- Conduct periodic inventory reconciliation.
- Identify slow-moving, excess or obsolete packaging inventory.
Cost Management
- Maintain packaging cost sheets and vendor quotations.
- Compare pricing across suppliers and identify cost-saving opportunities.
- Track changes in packaging costs and their impact on product COGS.
- Support negotiations with vendors on MOQ, pricing, payment terms and lead times.
Operations & Documentation
- Maintain purchase orders, quotations, invoices, specifications and vendor documentation.
- Build and maintain supply-chain trackers in Excel/Google Sheets.
- Prepare weekly updates on procurement, inventory, production readiness and pending actions.
- Support the Founder on operational projects and problem-solving.
What We Are Looking For We are looking for someone who is highly organised, detail-oriented and execution-focused.
You should be
- Comfortable working with Excel/Google Sheets.
- Strong at follow-ups and coordination.
- Detail-oriented with numbers, quantities,
specifications and timelines.
- Comfortable communicating with vendors over phone, WhatsApp and email.
- Able to manage multiple vendors and deadlines simultaneously.
- Proactive in identifying problems rather than waiting for instructions.
- Comfortable working in a fast-moving startup environment.
- Willing to get into operational details and solve problems independently.
The Ideal Mindset We are looking for someone who thinks:
“The material needs to be here by Friday. What needs to happen for that to be true?”
—not someone who simply says:
“I have followed up with the vendor.”
You will be expected to own the outcome, not just the task.
What You Will Learn
- Consumer-product supply chain
- Skincare packaging
- Packaging procurement and sourcing
- Vendor management and negotiation
- Production planning
- Inventory management
- Cost and COGS management
- Contract manufacturing
- Startup operations
