About Jagyatri
Jagyatri is a boutique travel company specializing in personalized, tailor-made holidays and curated travel experiences across India and international destinations.
We handle the complete travel journey, from initial enquiry and itinerary planning to supplier coordination, booking, execution, and post-trip support.
About the Role
We are looking for an Operations Manager to take ownership of the planning and execution of our clients' trips.
This is a hands-on role suited to someone who understands travel operations, enjoys working with suppliers and DMCs, and is comfortable managing multiple moving parts at once.
You will work closely with the Sales team, DMCs, hotels, transport providers, activity suppliers, and clients to turn a proposed itinerary into a properly planned and smoothly executed trip.
The ideal candidate should be equally comfortable building a proposal before a sale and managing the execution after the booking is confirmed.
Key Responsibilities
Travel Planning & Proposal Development
- Understand client requirements received from the Sales team and translate them into practical travel itineraries
- Plan day-wise itineraries covering accommodation, transportation, sightseeing, activities, transfers, and other travel services
- Coordinate with DMCs and suppliers to obtain quotations and availability
- Evaluate supplier quotations based on pricing, inclusions, quality, and suitability
- Build accurate costing and proposals for the Sales team
- Review itineraries and quotations for operational feasibility before they are presented to clients
- Suggest suitable hotels, experiences, transportation options, and operational alternatives
- Assist Sales with itinerary modifications, special requests, and last-minute changes
DMC & Supplier Management
- Build and maintain strong working relationships with DMCs, hotels, transport providers, activity suppliers, and other partners
- Send detailed requirements and quotation requests to DMCs
- Negotiate rates, inclusions, payment terms, cancellation policies, and other commercial conditions
- Coordinate contracting and supplier onboarding
- Maintain updated supplier contracts, rate sheets, terms, and destination information
- Evaluate supplier performance and escalate recurring service issues
- Develop a reliable network of destination partners for Jagyatri's key markets
Booking & Pre-Trip Operations
- Take complete ownership of bookings once a client confirms their trip
- Make hotel, transfer, activity, transportation, and other supplier bookings
- Verify confirmations, vouchers, invoices, payment schedules, and cancellation terms
- Ensure every booking matches the itinerary sold to the client
- Coordinate payment schedules and documentation with suppliers
- Prepare final travel documents and client-facing information
- Conduct pre-departure checks to ensure all components of the trip are confirmed
Trip Execution & On-Trip Support
- Monitor trips while clients are travelling
- Coordinate with DMCs and local suppliers during the trip
- Handle changes, disruptions, delays, cancellations, and special requests
- Act as the primary escalation point for operational issues
- Resolve problems quickly while protecting the client's experience and Jagyatri's commercial interests
- Coordinate emergency requirements with suppliers and internal teams when required
- Collect post-trip feedback and identify operational improvements
Internal Coordination
- Work closely with Sales from enquiry stage through trip completion
- Ensure a clean handover between Sales and Operations after every confirmed booking
- Maintain accurate records of quotations, bookings, supplier communication, payments, and client requirements
- Create and maintain SOPs for recurring operational processes
- Identify gaps in existing processes and introduce systems to reduce errors and dependency on individual team members
- Ensure deadlines and operational commitments are consistently met
Commercial & Cost Control
- Maintain accurate package costing and supplier rates
- Protect agreed margins while negotiating with suppliers
- Identify cost-saving opportunities without compromising client experience
- Verify supplier invoices against agreed quotations and contracts
- Track outstanding supplier payments and booking deadlines
- Flag commercial discrepancies or unexpected costs before they impact profitability
What We're Looking For

- Strong attention to detail
- Excellent communication and coordination skills
- Ability to handle multiple bookings and deadlines simultaneously

What Success Looks Like In the first 3 months, you will be expected to:
- Understand Jagyatri's operational processes
- Independently handle DMC quotation requests
