What you'll do

- Create challenging coding tasks from unfamiliar repositories, covering bugs in both front-end and back-end code
- Reproduce software issues and follow data and execution through services, APIs, libraries and databases to find the root cause
- Implement fixes that fit the existing architecture and write tests that validate the result
- Assess patches produced by AI for security and maintainability as well as correctness and completeness, then explain where they fall short

Who this is for

- A public GitHub profile, or one that can otherwise be verified, showing meaningful contributions to or ownership of open-source repositories, with substantive authored code; documentation updates, formatting work, dependency changes or minor corrections alone do not meet this requirement
- Strong experience in one substantial technical area, such as front-end, back-end, full-stack, systems, developer tooling or infrastructure. Experience with several programming languages is required, such as C#, C++, Go, Java, JavaScript, Python, Ruby, Rust or TypeScript
- Strong English communication skills
- No AI experience needed. You bring the expertise; we bring the training on the tools.

- $100–$150 per hour equivalent; pay is per accepted task, as an independent contractor
