Job Purpose

To support the injection molding process by assisting in machine setup, process optimization, quality improvement, and troubleshooting. The Junior Injection Molding Engineer works closely with production, quality, and maintenance teams to ensure productive manufacturing, minimize defects, and achieve production targets while maintaining safety and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

- Assist in the setup and operation of injection molding machines and auxiliary equipment.
- Support process optimization to improve cycle time, product quality, and reduce scrap rates.

- Perform regular maintenance and troubleshooting of mold tools, machines, and robots.
- Monitor production performance and conduct root cause analysis for defects or downtime.
- Maintain documentation including process sheets, setup instructions, and maintenance logs.

- Collaborate with quality and tooling teams to ensure products meet specifications.
- Participate in new mold trials, process validations, and continuous improvement initiatives.

Ensure adherence to safety standards and manufacturing

protocols.

Compliance & Governance

- Ensure adherence to company policies and procedures.
- Maintain compliance with applicable statutory and regulatory requirements.




- Support internal and external audits.

Educational Qualification

Essential:

- Technical Diploma or Degree

Preferred:

- CIPET – PGDPT, DPT, DPMT

Experience

Minimum Experience Required:

1 Years

Preferred Experience:

- Industry: Petrochemical & Plastic Industry
- Functional Area: Manufacturing
- Relevant Exposure: Experience working with cross-functional teams such as Production, Quality, Tool Room, and Maintenance.

Technical Competencies

- Knowledge of injection molding processes and machine operations.
- Ability to set and optimize molding process parameters (temperature, pressure, speed, cooling time, holding pressure, etc.).
- Knowledge of mold construction, mold setup, and mold maintenance.
- Understanding of process validation and scientific molding principles.
- Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing, 5S, Kaizen, and continuous improvement methodologies.
