Key Responsibilities

Instrumentation Management

Oversee the operation, calibration, validation, and maintenance of all laboratory and production equipment, including analytical instruments, spectrometers, chromatographs, and other precision tools.

Troubleshoot instrumentation issues and coordinate repairs with internal teams or external vendors.

Develop and maintain a comprehensive calibration schedule for all equipment and ensure timely execution.

Prepare and update calibration and maintenance records in compliance with regulatory requirements.

Quality Control (QC)

Conduct routine testing and analysis to ensure product quality meets established standards and specifications.

Review and validate analytical data generated by instruments for accuracy and precision.

Support investigations into non-conformances related to instrumentation and testing.

Quality Assurance (QA)

Develop, review, and implement SOPs and work instructions related to instrumentation and quality processes.

Participate in audits (internal and external) and ensure instrumentation compliance with ISO, GMP, or other relevant standards.





Support risk assessments and implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA) for instrumentation-related issues.

Training and Development

Train laboratory and production staff on the proper use and care of instruments.

Stay updated on the latest advancements in instrumentation technologies and recommend improvements or upgrades.

Qualifications and Skills

Education

Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Engineering, Instrumentation, Chemistry, or a related field.

Experience

Minimum 2-5 years of experience in QA/QC or instrumentation in a manufacturing or laboratory workplace.

Technical Skills

Proficiency in using and maintaining analytical instruments like HPLC, GC, UV-Vis spectrometers, FTIR, etc.

Strong knowledge of calibration, validation, and troubleshooting techniques.

Familiarity with ISO, GMP, or other relevant quality standards.

Soft Skills

Attention to detail and strong analytical skills.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team setting
