Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Nuclear Medicine Consultant role based at Patel Hospital’s facility in Jalandhar.

The Nuclear Medicine

Consultant will perform and interpret nuclear medicine diagnostic procedures, including imaging and functional studies, in accordance with clinical protocols and safety regulations. The role involves collaborating closely with referring physicians and cardiology, oncology, and other specialty teams to guide patient management and treatment planning. Daily responsibilities include supervising nuclear medicine technologists, ensuring radiation safety and quality control, reviewing patient histories, and documenting findings in a clear, timely manner. The consultant will also participate in multidisciplinary meetings, contribute to training of junior staff, and support continuous improvement of nuclear medicine services.

Qualifications

- Strong clinical expertise in Nuclear Medicine and general Medicine, with the ability to integrate imaging findings into overall patient care.




- Proven ability in Working with Physicians and multidisciplinary teams to provide consultative support and coordinated care.
- Experience in Emergency Medicine settings, including timely interpretation of urgent nuclear studies when required.
- Skills in Training and mentoring residents, technologists, and other healthcare professionals in nuclear medicine practices and safety.
- Postgraduate qualification in Nuclear Medicine (MD/DNB or equivalent) from a recognized institution; appropriate medical licensure as per local regulations.
- Demonstrated knowledge of radiation safety, quality assurance protocols, and regulatory compliance in nuclear medicine.
- Solid analytical, diagnostic, and communication skills, with attention to detail and ethical clinical practice.
- Experience in oncology imaging (PET/CT or other nuclear oncology studies) is highly desirable.
