Job Title: MRD Technician (Medical Records)

About the Role

We are looking for an organized and detail-oriented MRD Technician to manage patient medical records in our hospital. You will ensure records are complete, accurate, confidential, and easy to retrieve.

Key Responsibilities

- Receive, check, and file inpatient and outpatient records after discharge
- Ensure all forms, consent papers, and reports are complete and properly signed
- Assign and maintain medical record numbers (MRN/UHID)
- Code diagnoses and procedures (ICD-10) where required
- Retrieve records quickly for doctors, billing, insurance/TPA, and audits
- Maintain confidentiality and issue records or copies only with proper authorization
- Prepare and update hospital statistics (admissions, discharges, mortality, census)




- Support NABH documentation and audit requirements
- Scan, digitize, and maintain electronic records in HIS/EMR
- Follow record retention and safe disposal policies

Required Qualifications

- Graduate in any discipline (B.Sc. or Diploma/Certificate in Medical Records preferred)
- Minimum 2 years of experience in an MRD of a hospital
- Knowledge of medical terminology and record-keeping procedures
- Basic computer skills (MS Office, data entry)
- Positive accuracy, organization, and communication skills

Preferred

- Experience in an NABH-accredited hospital
- ICD-10 coding knowledge
- Familiarity with HIS/EMR software
- Ability to join immediately
