Job Summary

Exp - (3-6) JD - About the Role: We are looking for a backend-focused MERN Stack Developer with strong experience in Node.js, TypeScript, databases, and API development, along with practical React.js/Next.js skills. The role also includes integrating AI services into application workflows and building reliable, scalable software.

Responsibilities

- Perform full-stack development using MERN technologies, with a robust focus on backend services.
- Design and develop scalable backend systems using Node.js, TypeScript, and MySQL. MongoDB knowledge is an advantage.
- Build responsive user interfaces from UX designs using React.js/Next.js.
- Develop efficient business logic and REST or GraphQL APIs.
- Collaborate with the System Architect, Product Manager, and engineering team on system design, proof of concepts, and effort estimates.
- Write unit tests and support integration and functional testing to maintain code quality and application performance.
- Integrate AI and LLM APIs where relevant, validate structured outputs, and implement appropriate error handling and fallback logic.
- Maintain clear technical documentation and collaborate with frontend, QA, and DevOps teams.

Requirements

- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field. A postgraduate degree is preferred but not mandatory.
- Strong knowledge of algorithms, data structures, system design, and database concepts.
- Minimum 3 years of hands-on experience in Node.js / TypeScript backend development.
- Hands-on experience with MySQL is required; MongoDB is an advantage.




- At least 1 year of experience with React.js/Next.js frontend development.
- Experience developing REST or GraphQL APIs.
- Experience with AWS services such as EC2, ECS, SQS, SES, and Lambda.
- Basic knowledge of Docker, Kubernetes, or container-based application development is a plus.
- Experience working with US-based clients is required.
- Exposure to multiple business models, project architectures, and SaaS product development is an advantage.
- Practical experience integrating LLM or AI APIs is preferred. Amazon Bedrock experience is an advantage.
- Understanding of prompt engineering, structured AI outputs, and validation of AI-generated data is desirable.

Preferred Skills

- Knowledge of OCR or document processing tools such as AWS Textract.
- Familiarity with RAG, embeddings, vector databases, or pgvector.
- Experience with Next.js, Tailwind CSS, and frontend component libraries such as shadcn/ui or Material UI (MUI) is an advantage.
- Familiarity with automated testing, CI/CD pipelines, and code-quality tools is an advantage.

Preferred Candidate A strong backend-focused MERN developer who is confident in database-driven system design, optimized backend architecture, and can independently deliver scalable solutions with minimal supervision. The candidate should also be comfortable integrating AI capabilities where they provide practical value.

Education
