Job Title: Medical Laboratory Technician (Biochemistry)

About the Role

We are looking for a skilled Medical Laboratory Technician with a strong biochemistry background to join our diagnostic laboratory. You will perform routine and specialized biochemical tests accurately and on time, supporting reliable patient care.

Key Responsibilities

- Collect, receive, label, and process blood, urine, and other clinical samples
- Perform biochemical tests (e.g., LFT, KFT, lipid profile, blood glucose, HbA1c, electrolytes, hormones) on automated analyzers and semi-automated equipment
- Operate, calibrate, and maintain laboratory instruments
- Run daily quality control (internal QC) and take part in external quality assurance (EQAS)
- Record, verify, and report results accurately, flagging abnormal or critical values




- Follow NABL/ISO 15189 standards, biosafety, and infection-control protocols
- Maintain reagent inventory and proper documentation
- Dispose of biomedical waste safely

Required Qualifications

- M.Sc. in Biochemistry from a recognized university
- Minimum 3 years of experience in a clinical or diagnostic laboratory
- Hands-on experience with automated biochemistry analyzers
- Knowledge of QC procedures and lab safety practices
- Valuable attention to detail and the ability to work under time pressure

Preferred

- Experience in a NABL-accredited lab
