Role Description The Mechanical Engineering Intern will support the engineering team in the full-time, on-site role based in the Greater Chennai Area. Day-to-day responsibilities include assisting in the design and development of mechanical components and systems, creating and updating CAD models and drawings, and participating in prototype building and testing. The intern will help analyze performance data, troubleshoot mechanical issues, and contribute to documentation of design changes and test results.

The role also involves collaborating with cross-functional teams, supporting project planning activities, and maintaining safety and quality standards in all tasks.

Qualifications





- Candidates should possess strong Mechanical Engineering fundamentals and an understanding of basic mechanical systems and materials.
- Candidates should possess Computer-Aided Design (CAD) skills, including experience with common CAD software for modeling and drafting.
- Candidates should possess Analytical Skills for problem-solving, data interpretation, and performance evaluation of mechanical designs.
- Candidates should possess Communication skills to collaborate effectively with team members, document work clearly, and present findings.
- Candidates should possess Project Management awareness, including the ability to organize tasks, meet deadlines, and support project execution.
- Enrollment in or completion of a bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a closely related field is preferred.
- Basic knowledge of manufacturing processes, tolerance analysis, and engineering drawings is beneficial.
- Willingness to learn, attention to detail, and a proactive approach to hands-on engineering work are highly valued.
