Job Summary

We are looking for a skilled Mechanical Design Engineer to support the engineering and design activities of EPC projects. The candidate will be responsible for preparing mechanical equipment layouts, engineering drawings, 3D models, fabrication drawings, and technical documentation in accordance with project specifications, applicable standards, and client requirements.

Key Responsibilities

- Prepare 2D mechanical engineering drawings, 3D models, general arrangement (GA) drawings, and fabrication drawings.
- Develop equipment layouts, assembly drawings, piping-related mechanical layouts, and detailed engineering drawings as required for EPC projects.
- Review client specifications, technical datasheets, engineering standards, and project requirements.
- Coordinate with process, piping, electrical, instrumentation, procurement, and project execution teams.
- Prepare material take-offs (MTOs), bills of materials (BOMs), and technical documentation.




- Select suitable mechanical components and materials based on project specifications.
- Support equipment sizing, mechanical calculations, and design verification as applicable to the project scope.
- Review vendor drawings, technical offers, and equipment datasheets.
- Incorporate client comments and revise drawings in accordance with project review cycles.
- Support manufacturing, fabrication, inspection, installation, and commissioning teams by resolving technical queries.
- Ensure timely completion of design deliverables in line with project schedules.

Required Technical Skills
- Working knowledge of SolidWorks, 3D modelling software, where applicable.
- Understanding of engineering drawings, GD&T;, fabrication drawings, and mechanical design principles.
- Knowledge of engineering materials, welding symbols, tolerances, and manufacturing processes.
- Understanding of EPC project workflows and multidisciplinary engineering coordination.
- Knowledge of relevant IS, ASME, API, or other applicable standards, depending on the project scope.

Educational Qualification
- Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering.

Pay: ₹25,000.00 - ₹35,000.00 per month
