Role Description The Mechanical Design Engineer will be responsible for designing mechanical components and systems for industrial and commercial projects, ensuring compliance with project specifications, standards, and safety requirements. Day-to-day tasks include developing 3D models and detailed drawings using CAD tools, performing design calculations, and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to integrate mechanical designs with process, structural, and electrical work. The role involves reviewing client requirements, participating in design reviews,



preparing technical documentation, and supporting project execution through design updates and coordination with vendors and contractors.

The Mechanical Design

Engineer will also contribute to optimizing designs for manufacturability, reliability, and cost-effectiveness. This is a full time, on-site role based in Kochi.

Qualifications

- Solid foundation in Mechanical Engineering with strong knowledge of mechanical principles, materials, and manufacturing processes.
- Proficiency in Design Engineering and Machine Design, including ability to perform design calculations and select appropriate components.
- Experience in Product Design, focusing on functionality, reliability, safety, and cost optimization.
- Hands-on expertise with Computer-Aided Design (CAD) tools for 2D drafting and 3D modeling of mechanical components and assemblies.
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a closely related discipline.
- Ability to interpret engineering drawings, standards, and specifications, and ensure design compliance.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail and quality.
- Effective communication and collaboration skills to work with cross-functional project teams and clients.
- Experience in industrial or process plant projects and familiarity with relevant codes and safety practices is an advantage.
