Responsible for ensuring the reliable and efficient operation of plant equipment through preventive and predictive maintenance, timely breakdown resolution, root cause analysis, and effective maintenance planning. The role also involves ensuring safety compliance, leading the maintenance team, and improving equipment performance and reliability.

Key Roles and Responsibilities

- Preventive and Predictive Maintenance: Develop and implement maintenance schedules to improve equipment reliability and minimize downtime.

- Shutdown Planning: Prepare and coordinate planned shutdown schedules to ensure maintenance activities are completed safely and on time.

- Maintenance Planning and Execution: Plan, organize, and execute maintenance activities to ensure smooth plant operations.

- Breakdown Management and Root Cause Analysis (RCA): Investigate equipment failures, identify root causes, and implement corrective and preventive actions.

- Safety and Compliance: Ensure adherence to safety standards, statutory requirements, and plant maintenance procedures.

- Team Leadership: Lead, guide, and develop the maintenance team to achieve operational and maintenance targets.

- Hydraulic System Monitoring: Monitor hydraulic systems, identify abnormalities,



and ensure proper functioning through timely maintenance.

- SAP Knowledge: Use SAP for maintenance planning, work orders, equipment records, and maintenance reporting.

Qualifications and Experience

- B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering.

- 10–15 years of relevant experience in mechanical maintenance, preferably in a manufacturing or industrial environment.

Key Skills and Competencies

- Equipment Assembly Knowledge: Robust understanding of equipment assembly, installation, alignment, and dismantling.

- Gearbox Working and Design Knowledge: Understanding of gearbox construction, operating principles, design, troubleshooting, and maintenance.

- Maintenance Planning: Ability to plan and execute preventive, predictive, and shutdown maintenance activities.

- Troubleshooting and Problem-Solving: Ability to diagnose equipment failures and implement effective solutions.

- Safety Awareness: Knowledge of industrial safety practices and compliance requirements.

- Leadership and Team Management: Ability to coordinate maintenance activities and lead a team effectively.

- SAP Proficiency: Working knowledge of SAP maintenance modules and documentation.
