Role Overview

Nail Story is looking for vibrant, organized, and customer-centric Studio Managers to lead day-to-day operations across our prime Kolkata branches.

As a Studio Manager, you will oversee boutique salon operations, manage a team of talented nail technicians and front-desk executives, drive retail and service sales, ensure impeccable hygiene standards, and deliver an elevated luxury experience to our clientele.

Key Responsibilities1. Daily Operations & Studio Management

- Oversee the end-to-end daily opening and closing procedures of the assigned studio.
- Monitor appointment books, walk-in allocations, and technician assignments to maximize chair utilization and minimize wait times.
- Maintain salon aesthetics, ambient lighting, music, and pristine hygiene/sanitization standards in compliance with brand guidelines.
- Handle petty cash, daily billing reconciliation, point-of-sale (POS) systems, and end-of-day revenue reporting.

1. Team Leadership & People Management

- Lead, mentor, and motivate salon staff, including nail artists, nail technicians, and housekeeping staff.
- Create weekly rosters, manage shift schedules, and approve leave requests without disrupting salon operations.
- Address internal staff grievances and maintain high morale and a professional code of conduct on the floor.
- Partner with the training and HR teams to coordinate upskilling sessions on the latest nail art techniques and product applications.

1. Client Relationship Management (CRM)

- Act as the primary brand ambassador on the floor,



greeting high-profile clients and ensuring warm hospitality.
- Efficiently handle customer feedback, service adjustments, complaints, or escalations with tact and professionalism.
- Drive customer retention programs, membership packages, and repeat appointments via phone or WhatsApp follow-ups.

1. Inventory & Stock Control

- Supervise weekly and monthly stock audits for all consumables (gels, acrylics, polishes, tools, sanitizers) and retail merchandise.
- Raise timely purchase orders to avoid stock-outs during peak seasons and festival periods.
- Monitor product usage per service to minimize pilferage, leakage, or wastage.

1. Sales & Business Growth

- Meet and exceed monthly revenue targets for nail services, extensions, nail art, and retail aftercare products.
- Work closely with marketing to promote location-specific campaigns, seasonal discounts, and festival/bridal packages.

Requirements & Qualifications
- Education: Graduate in any discipline; certifications or diplomas in Salon Management, Hospitality, or Cosmetology are a strong plus.
- Experience: 2–5 years of proven experience as a Salon Manager, Assistant Manager, Floor Manager, or Front Office Executive in a premium nail salon, beauty parlor, spa, or luxury retail/hospitality outlet.
- Skills:
- Strong leadership, conflict resolution, and people management skills.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills in English, Hindi, and Bengali.
- Working knowledge of POS software, salon scheduling tools, MS Excel, and digital payment systems.
- Understanding of nail care services, hygiene protocols, and nail enhancement trends.
