Karigar Sathi is an initiative by Rehmat International aimed at addressing one of the biggest challenges in the bag manufacturing industry: finding reliable, skilled workers and connecting them with the right employment opportunities. The bag manufacturing industry depends heavily on skilled karigars who specialize in stitching, cutting, finishing, assembling, and other production activities. However, finding experienced workers at the right time remains a major challenge for manufacturers, while many skilled workers struggle to find consistent employment, reliable contractors, and suitable factories to work with.

Through Karigar Sathi, we aim to build a more organized and accessible ecosystem where skilled workers can register their profiles, showcase their experience and skills, and connect with factories and employers looking for workers. The initiative will focus on understanding the real challenges faced by both workers and manufacturers, including labour shortages, job accessibility, skill identification, communication gaps, and employment coordination.

Our vision is to make skilled labour more accessible to manufacturers while helping karigars find better work opportunities, build professional connections,



and access more consistent employment. We want to use technology, research, and practical industry knowledge to develop solutions that address the actual needs of the manufacturing sector.

Karigar Sathi is being developed with a long-term vision of supporting not only the bag manufacturing industry but potentially other manufacturing sectors that depend on skilled workers. Through this initiative, we hope to bridge the gap between skilled talent and industry demand and contribute to a stronger, more organized manufacturing ecosystem in India.

- We are looking for a proactive and problem-solving Management Intern who can help us research, develop, and execute this initiative. The role will involve interacting with workers and manufacturers, conducting market research, exploring digital marketing strategies, identifying operational challenges, and helping turn ideas into practical solutions. This is an chance to work on a real-world industry problem, collaborate directly with company leadership, and contribute to building a meaningful initiative from the ground up.
