Job Purpose

The purpose of this role is to ensure the reliable, secure, and efficient operation of machinery, equipment, utilities, and facilities. Monitor and take care of overall Plant equipment, Continuous breakdown reduction, and cost reduction in power consumption through kaizen and improvement projects. Decision making and leading maintenance related projects.

Key Responsibilities

1) All the activities related to Plant Maintenance (Mechanical, Electrical & Fire Safety)

2) Responsible of overall maintenance department:

- Areas - Machine Maintenance (mechanical & Electrical)

- Project - Planning and execution

- Building Maintenance / construction

- HSE activities

- Power & Fuel - Distribution / operation / maintenance / repairing

- LPG - Yard / Fuel – yard

- External House keeping

- Fire fighting and fire hydrant

- STP - Operation and Maintenance

- Office equipments maintenance

- General Repairing
- Lighting

- DG - Operation / Maintenance

3) Quarterly assessment report of each equipment (Yearly planning of revenue expenses & execution)

4) Preparation of Maintenance expenses budget for the year and monthly feedback. Expenses analysis and allocation to be done as per guidelines.

5) Preparation of Capex proposal as project report for approval. Selection of equipment as per requirement and coordination with the supplier. To ensure productivity and cost benefit against each investment on completion of execution.

6) Spare parts planning and inventory management

Vendor development and approval of all engineering incoming items. Technical justification for any supplier's product recommendation, if it is exclusive.

8) Coordination with A/c department for finalization of all expenses of the maintenance department in every month.

9) Acceptance and approval of electricity tariff bill / DG operation cost / water bill to be submitted to A/c dept.

10) Liasoning with local sub-station for uninterrupted power supply.

11) Statutory and legal compliance as applicable in the department

12) All maintenance / project / job work / Building maintenance /AMC etc Bill passing with all supporting to be submitted to A/c dept.

13) Finalization of any nature of maintenance / service contract.

14) To implement all systems and processes like ISO - 14001 & OHSAS effectively in system

- Safety audit

16) Review of JD / KRA for the department

17) To implement SAP Maintenance module for the unit and ensure all transactions through the same.

18) Automation / value engineering / improvement projects

Submission of monthly MIS as per schedule

Compliance & Governance

- Ensure adherence to company policies and procedures.
- Maintain compliance with applicable statutory and regulatory requirements.
- Support internal and external audits.

Educational Qualification

Essential:

- BE / B.Tech (Electrical)

Preferred:

- SAP Exposure

Experience

Minimum Experience Required:

12-15 Yrs

Preferred Experience:

- Industry: Polymer, Packaging, Plastic, etc.
- Functional Area: Electrical as well as Mechanical Maintenance
