About the role We are seeking a Lead SRE to own and evolve our site reliability engineering practices,

infrastructure automation, and observability frameworks. This role combines hands-on systems engineering with technical leadership to enable reliable, scalable delivery across our payment infrastructure. You will lead SRE initiatives, mentor team members, and ensure robust CI/CD practices and comprehensive monitoring for production systems, with on-call support responsibilities during critical activities.

BHIM / LEAD SRE

- -Lead SRE initiatives and define reliability standards for production payment infrastructure
- -Design and maintain Kubernetes clusters and container orchestration across production environments
- -Build and optimise CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, Git, and GitHub for automated deployments




- -Implement and manage OpenTelemetry collector setups for distributed tracing and metrics

- -Integrate Grafana and observability tools with production systems for real-time monitoring
- -Develop shell scripts and Python automation for infrastructure provisioning and maintenance
- -Ensure Linux system hardening and performance tuning across all infrastructure components
- -Provide on-call support during critical production activities and incident response
- -Mentor and guide SRE team members on best practices and technical excellence
- -Strong proficiency in Linux administration and system management
- Hands-on experience with Kubernetes deployment, scaling, and management
- Proficiency in Shell scripting or Python for automation and tooling
- Experience with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, Git, or GitHub Actions
- Practical knowledge of OpenTelemetry collector setup and configuration
- Hands-on experience with Grafana or equivalent observability platforms
- Understanding of containerisation and container orchestration patterns
- Experience with infrastructure as code tools (Terraform, Ansible, or similar)
- Proven SRE leadership experience with incident management and post-mortem culture
- Experience leading on-call rotations and managing production incidents
- Experience in payments, fintech, or high-availability transaction systems
- Knowledge of service mesh technologies (Istio, Linkerd)
- Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP)
- Experience with Prometheus, ELK stack, or Datadog
- Background in SRE practices and incident management
