Position summary The Data Foundation Quality Engineer owns quality engineering activities for assigned data pipelines, data services, APIs and user workflows. This is a hands-on engineering role—not a manual test execution role. The engineer translates requirements, mappings and data contracts into risk-based automated checks, investigates failures with evidence and independently delivers reliable quality coverage for a pipeline, data product or feature. The role collaborates with

Quality Engineering, Data Engineering, Software Development, Product and Platform teams to build quality into delivery.

Key responsibilities

Participate in refinement and translate mapping rules, acceptance criteria and data contracts into risk-based positive, negative, boundary, contract and reconciliation BDD scenarios.

Design, build and maintain API and UI automation in the custom C# and ReqnRoll framework using Visual Studio and established coding standards.

Build source-to-target reconciliation,



schema and data-quality checks using SQL, DBeaver and governed data dictionaries.

Validate REST or GraphQL services, database outcomes, batch processing, CDC, event-driven flows and Databricks workflows for assigned capabilities.

Integrate and execute suites through Azure DevOps pipelines and Test Plans, review ExtentReports output and use BrowserStack for assigned UI and end-to-end coverage.

Test incremental loads, duplicates, late or out-of-order events, retries, replay, backfills, error handling and recovery paths where applicable.

Use pipeline results, logs, metrics and record-level evidence to isolate failures across source data, mappings, code, platform, workplace and tests.

Prepare approved synthetic or masked test data and protect sensitive data, credentials and secrets under established security practices.
