We are seeking a Backend Web Developer skilled in Python to design, build, and maintain high-performance server-side applications, APIs, and data processing workflows. You will focus on developing secure, scalable backend services, integrating database systems, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to power our web applications. The ideal candidate combines strong computer science fundamentals with a modern toolchain mindset— using AI coding assistants (e.g., GitHub Copilot, Cursor, Claude) as a force multiplier without compromising on code quality, security, or architectural integrity.

Key Responsibilities

- Design, build, and maintain clean, reusable, and efficient Python code using modern web frameworks (e.g., FastApi, Django, Flask).
- Architect and implement RESTful or GraphQL APIs for seamless web and mobile application integration.
- Design and optimize database schema structures, write effective queries, and work with ORMs (e.g., SQLAlchemy, Django ORM).
- Build robust web scrapers, data pipelines, and scheduled background tasks to collect and process external web data cleanly and reliably.




- Integrate third-party API services, payment gateways, authentication flows (OAuth2, JWT), and cloud services.
- Identify bottlenecks, optimize system throughput, fix bugs, and enforce backend security best practices (CORS, CSRF, rate-limiting, data validation).
- Proficiency with Git and standard collaborative developer workflows (pull requests, code reviews).
- Strong knowledge of scraping/automation frameworks such as BeautifulSoup, Scrapy, Playwright, or Selenium.
- Proficiency with relational databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL) and/or NoSQL databases (MongoDB, Redis).
- Build and optimize end-to-end web scraping systems, background tasks, and data ingestion pipelines using tools like Scrapy, BeautifulSoup, and Selenium/Playwright.

Required Experience

- 5+ years’ experience in building web endpoints using FastAPI, Django, or Flask.
- Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Computer Science, IT or any domain.
- Fluency with Git, pull-request workflows, and continuous integration pipelines.
- Experience with background queue systems like Celery or RQ coupled with Redis or RabbitMQ.
- AI Tooling: Hands-on proficiency using AI coding assistants (GitHub Copilot, Cursor, Claude Code, ChatGPT) to accelerate development and debugging.

Preferred Skills

- Experience supporting client-facing data delivery workflows.
- Comfort working in governed, production-oriented environments.
- Experience collaborating with clients to translate needs into actionable outputs.
