System Engineer / Technical Lead – Infotainment & Connectivity

Location: MRV, Chennai

Key Responsibilities

1. Own end-to-end system delivery for HPC (High Performance Computing) platforms, including Infotainment, Connectivity, System Integration, Hardware, and Software .
2. Collaborate with cross-functional teams (CFTs) and suppliers to ensure timely completion of TSO activities and adherence to project timelines.
3. Prepare and manage System Requirement Documents (SRDs) and Statements of Requirements (SORs) , including supplier sign-off.
4. Define and maintain Hardware and Software Interface Specifications .
5. Participate in vehicle-level testing, bench testing, and system validation activities.
6. Analyze reported issues, perform Root Cause Analysis (RCA) , and drive resolution.
7. Track, manage, and close defects raised during development and validation phases.
8. Coordinate software releases and ensure successful integration into vehicle programs.

- Strong understanding of Infotainment hardware and peripheral interfaces such as:
- Displays
- USB
- Audio Systems
- Valuable working knowledge of:
- CAN Protocol
- Diagnostics
- System Integration
- Experience in Android Auto (AA) and Apple CarPlay (CP) certification and interoperability testing.
- Awareness of Functional Safety (ISO 26262) and Automotive Cybersecurity concepts.
- Experience in software delivery management and supplier coordination.
- Exposure to software development lifecycle and embedded automotive systems.

Education

- Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Electronics, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Embedded Systems, or a related field.
