Job TitleJunior Paginator / InDesign Paginator TraineeRole OverviewWe are looking for a detail-oriented and enthusiastic Pagination Fresher to join our e-publishing and production team. In this role, you will convert raw copy, manuscripts, and XML/Word files into clean, publication-ready print and digital layouts. You will work closely with editors, quality controllers, and senior paginators to maintain house styles and meet strict delivery deadlines.

Key Responsibilities

- Layout & Typesetting: Place and flow text, images, charts, and equations into pre-built grid systems or page templates using Adobe InDesign or specialized publishing software.
- Error Correction: Fix basic composition and pagination issues, including page breaks, awkward spacing, and general formatting glitches.
- Manuscript Compliance: Follow style guides, DTD/XML schemas, and client specifications accurately.
- Proof Generation:



Create first-pass or revised PDF proofs for editorial review and quality checks.
- Team Collaboration: Coordinate with copyeditors and project managers to implement corrections through multi-pass proofing workflows.

Required Skills & Qualifications
- Education: Any Bachelor’s Degree (Arts, Science, Commerce, or Visual Communication preferred).
- Experience: 0–2 years of experience in DTP (Desktop Publishing), print production, or e-publishing (freshers with strong foundational software skills are welcome).
- Technical Tools:
- Working knowledge of Adobe InDesign (mandatory).
- Familiarity with Photoshop, MS Word, or basic LaTeX/XML is a robust plus.

- Soft Skills: High attention to detail, patience for repetitive formatting tasks, and the ability to work under tight weekly or daily production schedules.
