1. Job Summary

We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Junior Design Engineer to support the design and development of non-ferrous castings, including GDC (Gravity Die Casting), LPDC (Low Pressure Die Casting), and Sand Casting. The candidate will work under the guidance of senior engineers and assist in preparing engineering drawings, 3D models, tooling designs, and technical documentation.
1. Key Skills

- Basic proficiency in CAD software such as AutoCAD, SolidWorks, CATIA, or Creo.
- Understanding of casting processes, metallurgy, and machining fundamentals.
- Basic knowledge of GD&T; (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing) and engineering tolerances.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
- Good documentation, communication, and coordination skills.
- Willingness to learn new design techniques and work under the guidance of senior engineers.
- Attention to detail and problem-solving ability.

1. Job Responsibilities

- Assist in the design and development of non-ferrous castings, including GDC, LPDC, and Sand Casting.
- Support the preparation and modification of 2D engineering drawings and 3D models.
- Assist in preparing GD&T; documentation and ensuring dimensional accuracy.
- Work under senior engineers to develop dies, fixtures, gauges,



and jigs.
- Participate in design feasibility studies, product development, and design validation activities.
- Coordinate with Production, Quality, and Development teams during New Product Introduction (NPI).
- Prepare and maintain Bill of Materials (BOM), design records, and process documentation.
- Support design changes and incorporate feedback from production and quality teams.
- Learn and implement continuous improvement practices to improve product quality and manufacturability.
- Follow company procedures and maintain proper engineering documentation.

1. Educational Qualification

- Diploma or B.E./B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, or a related engineering discipline.

1. Experience

- Freshers or candidates with 0–3 years of experience in design and development are preferred.
- Exposure to casting, tooling, or manufacturing industries will be an added advantage.
