Junior Architect — Rubix Design

Working hours: 10:00 AM–6:00 PM, 5 days a week

About the role

Rubix Design is looking for a Junior Architect who enjoys both design and execution—from developing ideas and preparing working drawings to seeing details take shape on site.

You’ll work closely with the founders and senior team, taking responsibility for assigned work across different project stages, with guidance as you develop your skills.

Key responsibilities

- Carry out site measurements and prepare existing-condition drawings.
- Develop design proposals, presentation drawings, and SketchUp models.
- Prepare working drawings, construction details, and site instruction sheets.
- Coordinate with vendors, consultants, and contractors.
- Attend site visits, document progress, and follow up on execution details.
- Maintain organised project drawings, revisions, and documentation.

What we’re looking for

- 2–3 years of relevant experience in an architecture or interiors practice.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD and SketchUp.
- Experience preparing working drawings, with an understanding of materials and construction details.
- Transparent communication and reliable follow-through on deadlines.
- Working knowledge of Word, Excel, and PowerPoint for project documentation and presentations.
- Ability to work from our Wadala studio and travel to project sites.





About Rubix Design We’re an eight-person architecture and interiors studio in Mumbai, working across residential, hospitality, retail, and corporate projects. We spend time understanding how people live and work before we start designing.

You’ll have direct access to the founders, exposure to multiple project stages, and opportunities to develop your design, detailing, and site coordination skills.
