Role Description This is a full-time, on-site JR. Sous Chef role based at Sachika Hotels in Guwahati. The JR. Sous Chef supports the culinary team in daily kitchen operations, including food preparation, cooking, and plating in line with hotel standards.

Responsibilities include assisting in menu execution, maintaining hygiene and food safety protocols, overseeing assigned stations, and ensuring consistent quality and portion control. The role involves coordinating with senior chefs and kitchen staff,



monitoring inventory and mise en place, and helping train and guide junior team members. The JR. Sous Chef also collaborates with restaurant service teams to ensure timely service and a positive dining experience for guests.

Qualifications

- Proficiency in food preparation, cooking techniques, and plating for multiple cuisines.
- Knowledge of kitchen operations, including inventory management, mise en place, and station organization.
- Strong understanding of food safety, sanitation standards, and hygiene practices in a professional kitchen.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-based environment and follow direction from senior chefs.
- Good communication skills and the ability to coordinate with front-of-house staff for smooth service.
- Minimum 3-4 yrs in a senior or similar role will be preffered
- Flexibility to work shifts, weekends, and holidays as required by hotel operations.
