Role: Senior GCP Engineer / Cloud Application Engineer

Job Summary

We are seeking a highly experienced Senior GCP Engineer with strong expertise in Google Cloud Platform (GCP), Python development, and React.js. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing and developing scalable cloud-native applications, building robust backend services, creating modern frontend interfaces, and implementing secure, high-performance cloud solutions.

The candidate should have strong hands-on technical skills, cloud architecture knowledge, and experience collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver enterprise-grade applications.

Key Responsibilities

- Design, develop, and implement scalable cloud-native applications using Google Cloud Platform.
- Develop backend services, RESTful APIs, and microservices using Python, FastAPI, Flask, or Django.
- Build responsive and reusable frontend components using React.js, JavaScript, HTML5, and CSS3.
- Architect and deploy applications using GCP services, including Cloud Run, Cloud Functions, GKE, Compute Engine, Cloud Storage, and Cloud SQL.
- Design and implement secure, scalable, and highly available cloud architectures.
- Develop CI/CD pipelines using Cloud Build, Jenkins, or GitHub Actions.
- Implement containerization and orchestration using Docker and Kubernetes.
- Integrate frontend applications with Python-based backend services and cloud APIs.
- Work with databases such as Cloud SQL, BigQuery, Firestore, and other SQL/NoSQL platforms.
- Implement IAM, authentication, authorization, secrets management, and cloud security best practices.
- Monitor application performance, troubleshoot production issues, and optimize cloud costs and resource utilization.
- Implement Infrastructure as Code using Terraform or similar tools.
- Conduct code reviews, enforce coding standards,



and mentor junior developers.
- Collaborate with architects, product owners, DevOps engineers, and business stakeholders in an Agile environment.

Required Technical Skills
- GCP: Hands-on experience with core GCP services, cloud architecture, networking, IAM, monitoring, and logging.
- Python: Strong proficiency in Python, object-oriented programming, API development, and backend engineering.
- React.js: Experience with React hooks, components, state management, reusable UI components, and frontend integration.
- Backend Frameworks: FastAPI, Flask, or Django.
- API Development: REST APIs, microservices, API security, and integration patterns.
- Containers: Docker and Kubernetes, preferably GKE.
- DevOps: CI/CD pipelines, Git, automated testing, and deployment automation.
- Databases: SQL, Cloud SQL, BigQuery, and NoSQL databases such as Firestore.
- Infrastructure Automation: Terraform and Infrastructure as Code principles.
- Observability: Cloud Logging, Cloud Monitoring, troubleshooting, and performance optimization.

Experience and Qualifications
- 8–11 years of overall software engineering or application development experience.
- Strong hands-on experience in GCP and Python development.
- Practical experience developing frontend applications using React.js.
- Experience designing, deploying, and supporting production-grade cloud applications.
- Proven ability to solve complex technical problems and provide technical leadership.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, IT, Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.
