Job Purpose

Management of the stores in the plant, ensuring that material is received,



stored and issued as per requirements and inventory management and storage as per budgets/norms without any damages or losses.

Principal Duties, Responsibilities & Accountabilities:

- Receipt of Material

 Ontime unloading and ensuring timely preparation of GRN

 Accuracy of material received – invoice and physical quantity to match. Resolution of discrepancies if any.

- Stock Management

 Ensure storage of material as per norms

 Supervision and monitoring of stocks in the stores

 Manage stock levels and make key decisions about stock control as per SOP.

 Monitoring of shelf-life material storage.

 Manage stock taking activity as per PIV plan & submit the reconciliation report to MAS team,

- Issue and Utilization of Material

 Ensure issuance happens as per bar coding system

 Ensure proper utilization of material and avoid wastages

- Managing Rejections/ Slow & Non-moving/ Scraps items

 Work with production for review of the in-house rejections and supplier rejections for timely disposal of this rejection material

 Controlling on BOM and Non-BOM (slow moving and non-moving items) - Monthly meeting with concern dept. to avoid any dead inventory.

 Review the BOP, NON BOM (slow moving & nonmoving) report with PH, OH, CEO and CFO (monthly)

 Monthly reconciliation of scrap and review with PH, OH and MAS team

 Handling and storage of hazardous waste as per norms

 Accountability of scrap lifting and closely monitoring of scrap lifting & storage activity.

- Customer and Vendor management

 Prepare and participate in customer audits





 Close out findings from the audits

 Monthly review of GRNs, DMS and Service Entry Sheets and closing out gaps in any (before month end)

 Ensure upload of service entries in SAP

- Documentation and Other Activities

 Create stores SOPs

 Review the vendor rejection debit note and ensure that the rejected material is removed from the plant in a timely manner by the Vendor

 Create the PR for store related requirement

 Prepare the Store MIS and review with the PRC manager, PH & OH levels.

 Work as DWM and monthly review with Team.

BE in Mechanical Engineering

Diploma in Mechanical Engineering

Graduate / MBA in material management

QMS (ISO 9001:2015, IATF 2016), 5S, Kaizen, TPM, FIFO/LIFO, KANBAN, ASN JIT, Inventory Management, SAP knowledge (MM / SD Module) etc.
