About the Company

Techjays is an AI engineering and technology consulting firm with its headquarters in Menlo Park, California, and delivery teams in Coimbatore and Chennai, India.

We are setting up a managed operations team in India to support a US-based B2B SaaS CRM platform. The platform runs on physical servers in a colocation data center rather than on a public cloud such as AWS, Azure or GCP.

The data center provider handles hardware break-fix support, while our team owns day-to-day operations, including security and releases, infrastructure and platform administration, and SQL Server databases.

As the Lead – Infrastructure Security and Release Operations, you will own production workplace security and the processes involved in deploying code to production. Your responsibilities will include patching and vulnerability remediation, access control management, security incident response, and planning and executing production releases in coordination with the client's engineering team.

This is a hands-on role reporting to the Manager, Infrastructure and Platform Operations. You will be directly involved in operational activities while establishing security and release runbooks and change management processes for the operations team.

Key Responsibilities

● Own security operations for the production environment, including patch management,

vulnerability scanning and remediation, and hardening of Windows and Linux servers.

● Manage firewall rules, VPN access, network segmentation and load balancer configuration together with the infrastructure team.

● Administer identity and access: Active Directory, service accounts, MFA and privileged access, with regular access reviews.

● Monitor security alerts and logs, triage incidents, lead the response and write post-incident reports.

● Implement changes, roll back failed changes during planned maintenance slots.





● Coordinate with the data center provider on hardware failures and planned maintenance that affect security or systems.

● Prepare evidence for security and compliance audits, and keep policies, runbooks and the change log up to date.

● Take part in the on-call rotation and act as the escalation point for security and network issues.

Must-Have Requirements

● 12+ years in infrastructure, systems or security operations, with at least 3 years owning production releases or change management.

● Hands-on experience securing Windows Server environments and working knowledge of

Linux.

● Experience with vulnerability management tools such as Qualys, Tenable/Nessus or

Rapid7, and with patching at scale.

● Good understanding of networking and network security: TCP/IP, DNS, firewalls, VPNs,

TLS certificates and load balancers.

● Scripting in PowerShell and/or Bash.

● Willing to work with regular overlap with PST business hours and to be part of an on-call rotation.

● Clear written and spoken English for working directly with US-based teams.

Nice-to-Have

● Experience supporting SOC 2, ISO 27001 or similar audits.

● Experience with a SIEM such as Splunk, Microsoft Sentinel or Elastic.

● Background in colocation or on-premises data center environments.

● Certifications such as CISSP, CompTIA Security+, CEH or Microsoft security certifications.

● Experience supporting multi-tenant SaaS products.
