Job Title: PLC Programmer – Special Purpose Machines (SPM)

Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced PLC Programmer with hands-on expertise in industrial automation and Special Purpose Machines (SPM). The candidate will be responsible for PLC programming, machine automation, troubleshooting, testing, and commissioning of SPM equipment to ensure smooth and efficient machine operations.

Key Responsibilities

- Develop, modify, and troubleshoot PLC programs for Special Purpose Machines (SPM).
- Program and configure PLCs based on machine functionality and project requirements.
- Work with automation systems, electrical panels, sensors, actuators, and industrial control devices.
- Integrate PLCs with HMIs, servo drives, VFDs, and other automation components.
- Perform machine testing, debugging, and commissioning at the shop floor and customer sites.
- Diagnose electrical and automation-related faults and implement corrective actions.
- Read and interpret electrical circuit diagrams, wiring diagrams, and control schematics.
- Coordinate with mechanical, electrical, and design teams during machine development and integration.
- Support installation, trial runs, and machine validation before delivery.
- Optimize PLC logic to improve machine cycle time, productivity, and operational reliability.
- Prepare and maintain PLC programs, backups, and technical documentation.
- Provide technical support during machine breakdowns and customer requirements.

Required Technical Skills





- Hands-on experience in PLC programming and industrial automation.
- Experience working with SPM machines, assembly machines, and automated equipment.
- Knowledge of PLC platforms such as Siemens, Mitsubishi, Omron, Allen-Bradley, or equivalent.
- Working knowledge of HMI programming and interfacing.
- Understanding of sensors, solenoid valves, pneumatic systems, and electrical control panels.
- Knowledge of VFDs, servo motors, and motion control systems is preferred.
- Ability to understand electrical drawings and troubleshoot PLC-related issues.
- Familiarity with industrial safety systems and machine interlocking.
- Knowledge of industrial communication protocols is an added advantage.

Educational Qualification

- Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Electrical, Electronics, Instrumentation, or Mechatronics Engineering.

Experience Requirements

- 2–6 years of relevant hands-on experience in PLC programming.
- Experience in the SPM / Special Purpose Machines field is required.
- Candidates with practical experience in machine automation, debugging, and commissioning are preferred.
- Freshers are not eligible. Experienced candidates only.

- Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.
- Ability to work independently and handle machine-related technical issues.
- Willingness to support machine trials and commissioning activities.
- Good communication and coordination skills.
- Adaptable to work according to project and customer requirements.
