Job Summary:

We are looking for a UG NX Casting Design Engineer with strong experience in designing and developing casting components. The candidate should have hands-on expertise in Siemens UG NX and a valuable understanding of casting processes, design for manufacturability, and engineering drawing standards.

Key Responsibilities:

- Design and develop cast components using UG NX.
- Create and modify 3D models, 2D drawings, and manufacturing drawings.
- Work on casting components such as engine, powertrain, automotive, or industrial castings.
- Apply GD&T;, dimensional tolerances, and engineering standards.
- Ensure designs are suitable for casting and manufacturing processes.
- Understand draft angles, parting lines, machining allowances, fillets, wall thickness, and casting defects.
- Collaborate with manufacturing, tooling, quality, and other engineering teams.
- Perform design modifications based on manufacturing and customer requirements.
- Support design reviews, engineering changes, and issue resolution.
- Ensure designs meet quality, manufacturability, and project requirements.

Mandatory Skills:

- Strong hands-on experience in Siemens UG NX / NX.




- Experience in Casting Component Design.
- Good knowledge of casting design principles and manufacturing processes.
- Experience in 3D modelling and 2D drawing creation.
- Strong understanding of GD&T; and tolerance stack-up.
- Knowledge of DFM (Design for Manufacturing).
- Understanding of draft, parting line, machining allowance, wall thickness, fillet/radius, etc.
- Ability to interpret and work with engineering drawings and specifications.

Good to Have:

- Experience in automotive casting components.
- Knowledge of Aluminium / Iron casting processes.
- Exposure to die casting, gravity die casting, sand casting, or investment casting.
- Knowledge of Teamcenter / PLM.
- Experience working with OEM/customer requirements.
