Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced Housekeeping Supervisor to oversee hospital housekeeping operations and ensure high standards of cleanliness, hygiene, sanitation, and infection prevention throughout the hospital. The candidate will supervise housekeeping staff, monitor cleaning activities, ensure proper biomedical waste segregation, and maintain a protected and hygienic environment for patients, visitors, and healthcare personnel.

Key Responsibilities

- Supervise daily housekeeping activities across hospital wards, ICUs, OPDs, emergency departments, corridors, washrooms, and other designated areas.

- Allocate duties, prepare duty rosters, and monitor the attendance and performance of housekeeping staff.

- Ensure proper cleaning and disinfection of patient-care areas according to hospital infection prevention protocols.

- Monitor cleaning schedules, checklists, and routine housekeeping inspections.

- Ensure correct segregation and handling of biomedical waste according to applicable hospital procedures and regulations.

- Train housekeeping staff on hand hygiene, personal protective equipment (PPE), cleaning techniques, and safe chemical handling.

- Coordinate with the Infection Control Nurse and hospital administration to maintain hygiene standards.





- Ensure appropriate cleaning and disinfection procedures for high-risk areas, including ICUs and isolation rooms, as per hospital protocols.

- Monitor the availability and usage of cleaning materials, disinfectants, equipment, and consumables.

- Maintain housekeeping records, inspection reports, attendance registers, and inventory records.

- Identify and report maintenance issues, spills, and sanitation concerns promptly.

- Investigate housekeeping complaints and implement corrective actions.

- Ensure staff follow hospital safety policies and infection prevention guidelines.

- Submit daily housekeeping performance reports to hospital administration.

Qualifications

- Minimum qualification: Intermediate; a diploma or certificate in housekeeping, hospitality, or facility management is preferred.

- Previous experience in housekeeping operations is required.

- Hospital housekeeping experience is preferred.

- Experience supervising housekeeping staff is an advantage.

- Knowledge of hospital cleaning procedures, infection prevention, and biomedical waste segregation is desirable.

Pay: ₹18,000.00 - ₹22,000.00 per month
