Head of Hospitality Revenue and Operations

Location: Gandhinagar, Gujarat. Office based, full time.

About the role

We support a hospitality ownership group with a 155 room luxury wellness resort in Florida, Amrit Ocean Resort, and a boutique cloud forest resort in Costa Rica, Villa Blanca. Sales, reservations and back office work for these properties runs from our Gandhinagar office.

We need one senior leader who owns revenue and commercial performance end to end and leads the team that delivers it. You will set the sales plan, run the sales floor, track every booking to its source, and work with the property teams to fix the operating issues that cost us revenue. This is a senior leadership role, not a site general manager post. You will not be stationed at either property.

What you will own

- The revenue plan across rooms, groups and retreats, spa, residences and food and beverage, with monthly targets by segment
- Leadership of the Gandhinagar sales team: daily targets, call quality, coaching, performance management and hiring
- Channel mix: growing direct and phone bookings and reducing dependence on online travel agencies
- Pricing and packaging input with the property revenue team, including ADR, length of stay and package offers
- Booking source tracking, so every sale the team closes is coded and measurable
- Operational issues that affect sales and guest experience, raised with property leadership and followed to resolution
- Weekly and monthly performance reporting to ownership against revenue, occupancy, ADR and revenue per agent targets
- Commercial support to Villa Blanca as that property comes online

What success looks like in the first 12 months

- The sales team is staffed, trained and meeting revenue per agent targets
- Direct and phone share of room revenue is rising month over month
- A qualified pipeline of group, retreat and wellness business is in place for the following year




- Ownership receives accurate weekly reporting without having to ask for it

Mandatory requirements

- 12 or more years in hospitality, with at least 5 years in a senior role covering sales, revenue or hotel operations
- Hands on experience at well regarded full service hotels or resorts in the luxury or upper upscale segment. Independent or budget properties alone will not qualify
- Direct accountability for revenue targets and a team of at least 10 people
- Working knowledge of revenue management, room pricing, channel distribution and group sales
- Strong spoken and written English suitable for US guests and ownership
- Availability for regular overlap with US Eastern business hours

Preferred

- Experience with resort, spa or wellness properties
- Experience selling to US or international guests, or with a central reservations or sales office
- Exposure to a pre opening, repositioning or turnaround property
- Familiarity with property management, CRS and CRM systems such as Opera, SynXis, Salesforce or HubSpot

Typical background

Current or former Director of Sales and Marketing, Director of Revenue, Hotel Manager, Resident Manager, Executive Assistant Manager or Director of Rooms at a branded luxury or upper upscale hotel.
