Job Title : Group Head – Engineering (Oil & Gas)

Job Summary

The Group Head – Engineering (Oil & Gas) will lead all engineering activities for Oil & Gas-fired boiler and thermic fluid heater projects. The role is responsible for ensuring the timely delivery of quality engineering solutions, coordinating with cross-functional teams, and driving technical excellence from project initiation through commissioning while ensuring compliance with customer requirements and applicable codes and standards.

Key Responsibilities

- Lead and manage the Oil & Gas Engineering team to deliver projects on time and within quality standards.
- Review and approve P&IDs;, layouts, piping, GA drawings, 3D models, and engineering documentation.

- Oversee thermal engineering, equipment selection (burners, pumps, fans, valves), and Balance of Plant (BOP) engineering.
- Review technical specifications, tender documents, vendor offers, and engineering deliverables.
- Ensure designs comply with ASME, IS, ASTM, BS, EN, ANSI, and customer specifications.

- Coordinate with Project Management, Procurement, Manufacturing, Civil, Electrical, Instrumentation, and Site teams for seamless project execution.




- Lead technical discussions with customers, consultants, licensors, and vendors.
- Provide engineering support during procurement, manufacturing, installation, commissioning, and troubleshooting.

- Drive engineering standardization, value engineering, cost optimization, and continuous improvement.
- Establish effective design review, quality assurance, and engineering change management processes.
- Mentor and develop engineering talent to strengthen technical capability.

Qualifications & Experience

- Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering.
- 12–15 years of experience in engineering Oil & Gas-fired boilers, thermic fluid heaters, and associated BOP systems.
- Strong knowledge of thermal systems, piping, pressure equipment, burners, and auxiliary systems.
- Sound understanding of applicable Indian and international engineering codes and standards.
