Job DescriptionWe are looking for a skilled and detail-oriented Material Manager to oversee material planning, procurement coordination, inventory management, and supply chain operations for our residential construction projects.

The ideal candidate should have strong knowledge of construction materials, inventory control systems, vendor management, and cost optimization, ensuring uninterrupted material availability across project sites.

Key Responsibilities

- Develop and implement effective material planning and inventory management strategies for construction projects.
- Coordinate material requirements with project managers, site engineers, procurement teams, and vendors.
- Ensure timely availability of construction materials in accordance with project schedules.
- Manage material requisitions, purchase coordination, goods receipt, storage, and issuance processes.
- Monitor inventory levels, maintain accurate stock records, and prevent material shortages or excess inventory.
- Coordinate with suppliers and vendors to ensure timely deliveries and adherence to material specifications.
- Implement effective stock control measures to minimize wastage, pilferage, and unnecessary expenditure.
- Maintain material registers, stock reconciliation reports,



and inventory documentation.
- Support procurement negotiations, vendor evaluation, and cost optimization initiatives.
- Conduct periodic physical stock verification and inventory audits.
- Ensure proper storage, handling, and movement of construction materials across project locations.
- Prepare MIS reports on material consumption, inventory status, procurement requirements, and cost variances.

Required Qualifications & Experience
- Educational background in Material Management / Supply Chain Management – Mandatory.
- 5–10 years of relevant experience in material management, inventory control, procurement, or supply chain operations.
- Experience in the real estate or construction industry is preferred.
- Strong understanding of construction materials, including cement, steel, aggregates, electrical, plumbing, and finishing materials.
- Knowledge of inventory management systems, ERP software, and MS Excel.
- Experience in vendor coordination, stock reconciliation, and material cost control.
- Strong analytical, organizational, negotiation, and communication skills.
- Ability to coordinate effectively with multiple project sites and internal departments.
