Job Responsibilities :

. Main Purpose To provide real time geological support during CBM drilling operations by monitoring formation lithology, identifying and correlating coal seams, validating geological prognosis, and ensuring accurate geological data acquisition. The role involves close coordination with Drilling, Mud Logging, Wireline Logging and Subsurface teams to support safe and effective well execution, accurate target depth identification, and achievement of well objectives.

- Monitor drilling operations and perform real time geological evaluation of formations encountered.
- Identify lithology, coal seams, formation tops and thickness, and correlate findings with geological prognosis and offset wells.
- Monitor mud gas data, describe core and cutting samples, and support coal seam evaluation.




- Coordinate wireline logging operations and validate log data for geological interpretation.
- Provide geological inputs for target depth identification, TD decisions and well execution.
- Prepare daily geological reports, maintain wellsite data and support Well Completion Reports.
- Coordinate with Drilling, Mud Logging, Wireline Logging and Subsurface teams to achieve well objectives.
- Ensure accuracy of geological data, compliance with approved well programmes and adherence to site safety procedures.

Education Requirement :

M.Sc. or M.Tech. in Geology, Applied Geology or an equivalent relevant geoscience discipline

Experience Requirement :

- 3 to 5 years of relevant experience in wellsite geology, drilling geology or subsurface geology.
- Preference for experience in CBM or unconventional hydrocarbon operations.
