About the role

We’re looking for a Founding Product Designer to become the company’s first dedicated design hire and own product design end to end.

You’ll shape how creators work with AI to create and edit video — from agentic creation workflows and editable motion graphics to style controls and product memory.

This is a hands-on IC role with broad ownership. You’ll work directly with the co-founders, take ambiguous product problems from first principles to shipped experiences, and establish the design foundations the product and team build on as they grow.

What you'll own

- Product design end to end. Own the design process from early exploration and interaction models through prototypes, testing, polish, and shipped product.
- Controllable AI workflows. Design agentic video creation experiences that make automation powerful without taking control away from the creator.
- Editable motion graphics. Define how users manipulate generated animations and motion at a granular or frame level without needing to write code.
- Style expression and control. Turn visual references, inspiration, and creative intent into understandable attributes that creators can adjust and reproduce.
- Creator memory. Design how the product learns and surfaces creator preferences while keeping those preferences transparent, editable, and useful.
- Interaction systems. Create intuitive interaction patterns for complex creative workflows involving AI, timelines, generated assets, and editing controls.
- Design foundations.



Establish the visual language, interaction patterns, and product design principles that can scale with the company.
- Weekly shipping. Prototype quickly, test ideas, incorporate feedback, and ship alongside engineering in tight weekly cycles.

What we're looking for

- Experience taking a digital product from zero to one as a hands-on product designer.
- A portfolio that clearly shows what you personally owned, decided, designed, and shipped.
- Robust interaction design skills, particularly for products with complex workflows or powerful underlying systems.
- Ability to turn ambiguous product problems into clear interaction models without waiting for perfectly defined requirements.
- Experience shipping meaningful product improvements on short development cycles.
- Strong visual craft and taste alongside equally strong thinking around usability and product behavior.
- Comfort working directly with founders and engineers in a small, fast-moving team.
- Experience using AI tools in your own design workflow and curiosity about how agents change the way software should be designed.

Bonus points

- Experience designing AI-native or agentic products.
- Experience with video editing, motion design, animation, or creative tooling.
- Experience designing editors, canvases, timelines, node-based tools, or other complex creation interfaces.
- Familiarity with motion graphics and animation concepts beyond static UI design.
- Experience building or evolving a design system from scratch.
