Job Summary

Responsible for managing and coordinating flash butt welding operations across assigned railway project sites. The role includes complete control of site activities, manpower, machinery, quality, safety, maintenance, materials, administration, and project reporting to ensure smooth and timely execution of work.

Key Responsibilities

- Project Operations: Manage daily flash butt welding activities and ensure timely completion of assigned work.
- Manpower Management: Supervise welding supervisors, machine operators, profilers, electricians, USFD operators, drivers, and helpers.
- Machine Management: Monitor machine deployment, utilization, availability, breakdowns, and repairs.
- Railway Coordination: Coordinate with railway officials, project engineers, contractors, and inspection teams.
- Quality Control: Ensure compliance with applicable railway specifications, RDSO requirements, and approved welding procedures.
- Safety Management: Enforce railway safety procedures, work permits, PPE requirements, and site safety standards.
- Maintenance & Spare Parts: Plan preventive maintenance and arrange tools, equipment, consumables, and spare parts.
- Material Management: Monitor stock, diesel, consumables, equipment, and material movement.
- Administrative Responsibilities: Coordinate attendance, staff deployment, travel, accommodation, and salary inputs.




- Documentation & Reporting: Maintain daily progress reports, welding records, machine logs, inspection reports, and site documentation.
- Cost & Productivity Control: Monitor project expenses, manpower costs, machine utilization, and work productivity.
- Problem Solving: Resolve operational issues, manpower shortages, machine breakdowns, and coordination problems.
- Performance Monitoring: Review site progress and ensure supervisors and operators meet assigned targets.
- Management Reporting: Submit regular progress updates, operational issues, resource requirements, and project status to senior management.

Required Qualifications & Skills
- Diploma or degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Civil, or a relevant engineering discipline preferred.
- Experience in railway projects, flash butt welding, or railway track maintenance preferred.
- Strong leadership, team management, planning, and coordination skills.
- Knowledge of railway safety, welding quality standards, machinery, and project documentation.
- Willingness to travel to assigned project locations as required.

Key Objective To ensure efficient, safe, cost-effective, and high-quality execution of flash butt welding projects through effective management of manpower, machinery, materials, and site operations. Pay: ₹60,000.00 - ₹70,000.00 per year
