Role Description This is a full-time remote role for a Field Services Engineer.

The Field Services

Engineer will install, configure, and commission ophthalmic equipment at customer locations, ensuring proper operation and user understanding. The role includes diagnosing and troubleshooting technical issues, performing on-site repairs, and coordinating technical support to minimize equipment downtime.

Engineer will conduct preventive maintenance visits, perform routine inspections, and document all service activities, including parts usage and service reports. In addition, the role involves providing customer training on safe and effective use of equipment,



maintaining clear communication with internal teams, and supporting continuous improvement of service processes.

Qualifications

- Strong field service capabilities, including installation, configuration, and on-site support for medical or technical equipment.
- Proficiency in troubleshooting and technical support to identify root causes, resolve hardware and software issues, and escalate complex cases as needed.
- Experience performing preventive maintenance, calibration, and routine inspections to ensure equipment reliability and compliance with manufacturer guidelines.
- Excellent customer service skills, with the ability to communicate clearly, manage expectations, and build long-term professional relationships.
- Diploma or degree in engineering, electronics, biomedical engineering, or a related technical field.
- Ability to work independently in remote settings, manage travel schedules, and prioritize multiple service requests.
- Comfort with using digital tools for documentation, remote diagnostics, and reporting; familiarity with ophthalmic or medical devices is an advantage.
- Willingness to travel to customer sites as required and adhere to safety, quality, and regulatory standards.
