Role & responsibilities

- Instruments Maintenance as per schedules decided by the Instrument In charge.

- Periodic and need based maintenance (PM, BM, Plant S/D maint.), of Pneumatic, Electronic, Mechanically operated, Hydraulically operated, instruments.

- All types of Control Valves, Solenoid valves, Hydraulic Valves, Electric Motor or Coil operated Valves, Controlled speed Motors for (Bagging /Robots), Pneumatic, Hydraulic(e.g.Power cylinders), Electrically operated Cylinders. Damper movement operating devices.

- Undertake regular & periodic plant rounds for checking/ensuring healthy operating conditions and taking corrective actions wherever required in all plant areas, Control rooms, DCS Panels, Analysers/GC, weighbridges, Ambient Air Monitoring Stations and weather monitoring station.

Bagging

Machines, Robotic Palletisers, Process and Air Compressors, Tank Farm Areas etc.

- Pneumatic Tubing (SS, Copper, Aluminum, MS, Nylon, PVC, Teflon, Metallic or Non-metallic) laying, Termination, Connecting, Disconnecting, Removal, Modifying, Protecting, cleaning, Draining, etc

- Trip Logic checking, Interlock Checking,



Plant Health Checks as and when required by Operation / Instrument Depts. from time to time is the responsibility of Instrument Technician.

- Maintenance of Analytical Instruments used to analyze plant processes quality analysis. This includes repairs, Commissioning, De-commissioning and transportation of analytical Instruments.

Preferred candidate profile

- Skills in fault diagnosis and rectification of individual Instruments, all Control Loops (pneumatic or Electrical/Electronic), Bagging machines and weighbridges, routine interlock checking.

- Technical skills for cost effective and quality repairs of all instruments. To monitor general health of field instruments, DCS systems, SCADA Systems, other types of Control Systems and weighbridges.

- Awareness of Job hazards and job safety in his area of work. and use of Personal Safety. Equipments.

- Basic knowledge of pneumatic, electronic and analytical instruments.

- Basic knowledge of relevant control systems DCS, PLC, SCADA, Vibration monitoring systems.

- Diploma in Electronics or Instrumentation
