Data Dividend and Ashbury Labs are both part of Augment (Y Combinator S24).

Augment (Y Combinator, S24) works with AI companies, the ones behind apps like ChatGPT, that are learning how skilled work is really done. In India we work as Ashbury Labs: we record real work in factories and workshops across Bengaluru from the worker's point of view, on small head-worn cameras, and we pay the businesses that take part.

We're hiring our first field associate in Bengaluru. You'll be our face to business owners, and you'll run our recording days.

What you'll do

- Meet owners of factories and workshops who have agreed to a visit, explain the project clearly in Kannada and English, and get the site agreement signed.
- Run recording days: fit the cameras on the workers, collect the forms, check the footage against our client's spec at the start and after the first hour, and stay on site the whole day.
- Upload the footage the same day and report the day's hours and notes to the team.




- Plan each week's visits with owners by phone, and keep every day on time.

You'll do well here if you
- Have a degree from a decent college, in any field.
- Speak English and Kannada well. Hindi, Tamil or Telugu is a plus.
- Enjoy meeting people, and business owners warm to you quickly.
- Are careful with details and comfortable with cameras, a laptop and Google Drive.
- Have a two-wheeler and a licence, and are happy to travel across Bengaluru.

What you get

- ₹40,000 a month.
- You'll work directly with the founders, with room to grow as we add sites every week.
