Role Description The Faculty - Fashion Design role is a full time, on-site position based at the CINDREBAY SCHOOL OF DESIGN campus in Kozhikode. The faculty member will deliver classroom and studio-based instruction in fashion design, including design principles, garment construction, textile knowledge, fashion illustration, and portfolio development. Daily responsibilities include planning and conducting lessons, guiding students through practical projects, providing feedback and assessments, and supporting learners in developing industry-ready skills.

The role also involves participating in curriculum development, organizing workshops or guest lectures,



contributing to academic events, and maintaining an engaging and inclusive learning environment. Faculty are expected to stay updated on fashion trends, industry practices, and emerging technologies to enrich teaching and student outcomes.

Qualifications

- Strong foundation in fashion design, including garment construction, pattern making, fashion illustration, and textiles.
- Experience in studio teaching, lesson planning, and classroom management within a design or creative education setting.
- Ability to mentor and guide students on portfolios, projects, internships, and career pathways in the fashion industry.
- Proficiency in design tools and technologies such as CAD for fashion, digital illustration, or related software (e.g., Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop).
- Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills to support diverse learners in an inclusive environment.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Fashion Design or a closely related discipline from a recognized institution.
- Industry experience in fashion, apparel, or related creative fields (e.g., design studios, merchandising, or production) is highly desirable.
- Demonstrated commitment to student-centered teaching, continuous learning, and collaborative work with academic and administrative teams.
