They are looking for a Factory Operations Manager for their manufacturing unit in Chennai.

Position: Operations Manager - UPS Manufacturing

Experience: 10-15 Years

Reporting To: VP Plant Operations

Industry: Electrical / Power Electronics / Manufacturing

Role Summary

Looking for an experienced Operations Manager to lead and manage the overall operations of our UPS manufacturing facility, ensuring efficient production, high product quality, timely deliveries and optimal utilization of resources.

Key Responsibilities

- Manage end-to-end plant operations, covering Production, Quality Assurance, Inventory management and Delivery/Dispatch.
- Achieve production targets, improve throughput and ensure adherence to delivery schedules.
- Drive productivity improvement, cost reduction, resource optimization and operational efficiency.
- Ensure product quality, process compliance and effective implementation of corrective and preventive actions.
- Monitor production plans, capacity utilization, manpower productivity and operational KPIs.
- Coordinate with Planning, Procurement, Stores, Engineering and other functions to ensure smooth operations.




- Implement Lean Manufacturing, 5S, continuous improvement and waste-reduction initiatives.
- Ensure adherence to safety standards, statutory requirements and the organization's Integrated Management System.
- Lead, develop and motivate cross-functional teams to achieve operational excellence.

Desired Candidate Profile

- 10-15 years of experience in manufacturing operations, preferably in UPS, power electronics, electrical equipment or a related industry.
- Demonstrated experience in managing production, quality and delivery functions in a manufacturing plant.
- Strong understanding of production planning, quality systems, inventory coordination and manufacturing processes.
- Proven ability to improve productivity, reduce manufacturing costs and meet delivery commitments.
- Strong leadership, problem-solving, analytical and cross-functional coordination skills.
- Familiarity with ERP/MRP systems and manufacturing performance metrics is desirable.
