Position

Eye OT Assistant

Experience Required

- Minimum 3 years of relevant experience
- Experience in an eye hospital or ophthalmic operation theatre preferred.

Qualification

- Diploma / Certificate in OT Technology or relevant paramedical qualification preferred.
- Practical experience in ophthalmic OT procedures is essential.

Key Responsibilities

- Assist ophthalmologists during eye surgeries and OT procedures.
- Prepare the operation theatre before scheduled surgeries.
- Arrange and check ophthalmic surgical instruments and equipment.
- Ensure proper cleaning, disinfection and sterilization of instruments.
- Maintain OT hygiene and follow infection control protocols.
- Assist with patient preparation and positioning before surgery.
- Monitor the availability of surgical consumables and OT supplies.
- Maintain OT registers,



sterilization records and procedure documentation.
- Coordinate with surgeons, nurses and other OT staff for smooth operations.

Candidate Profile

- Minimum 3 years of experience in an ophthalmic OT.
- Knowledge of ophthalmic surgical instruments and sterilization procedures.
- Familiarity with cataract surgery and other eye procedures preferred.
- Good coordination, discipline and attention to detail.
- Professional and patient-focused approach.
