Job Summary

SC&H; Group is seeking a detail-oriented US External Audit Consultant with 2–4 years of hands-on experience in US financial statement audits. The ideal candidate will have practical experience in audit planning, execution, substantive testing, audit documentation, and financial statement analysis under US GAAS and applicable US auditing standards.

The candidate will work closely with US-based engagement teams to support external audit engagements across various industries, ensuring audit quality, accurate documentation, and timely completion of assigned deliverables.

Key Responsibilities

- Support external financial statement audit engagements from planning through completion.
- Perform substantive audit procedures for balance sheet and income statement accounts, including cash, revenue, accounts receivable, accounts payable, inventory, fixed assets, and expenses.
- Prepare and maintain audit workpapers, lead schedules, supporting documentation, and audit evidence.
- Perform analytical procedures, account reconciliations, sampling,



and testing of financial transactions.
- Assist in evaluating financial statements and related disclosures in accordance with applicable US accounting standards.
- Participate in audit planning, risk assessment, walkthroughs, and identification of significant audit risks.
- Evaluate internal controls relevant to financial statement audits and perform control testing where required.
- Identify audit discrepancies, unusual transactions, and potential misstatements, escalating findings to senior team members.
- Assist with audit adjustments, financial statement tie-outs, and resolution of audit review comments.
- Coordinate with US-based audit teams and clients to obtain required documents, clarifications, and supporting schedules.
- Maintain organized and complete audit documentation in accordance with US GAAS and firm methodologies.
- Manage multiple audit assignments while meeting engagement deadlines and quality expectations.

Required Qualifications and Experience

- 2–4 years of relevant experience in US External Audit or Financial Statement Audit.
- Hands-on experience working on external audit engagements for US-based clients.




- Strong understanding of US GAAS and working knowledge of US GAAP.
- Practical experience in substantive testing, audit sampling, analytical procedures, and audit workpaper preparation.
- Knowledge of financial statements, account balances, audit evidence, and financial statement disclosures.
- Experience in audit planning, risk assessment, and evaluating audit findings.
- Ability to communicate effectively with US-based engagement teams and clients.
- Strong analytical, documentation, problem-solving, and time-management skills.
- Experience working with offshore audit delivery teams is preferred.

Educational Qualifications

- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce, or a related field.
- CA, CPA, or ACCA qualification is preferred.

Preferred Candidate Background

- Candidates from professional services firms, public accounting firms, or audit and assurance practices.
- Candidates with experience in US financial statement audits across multiple industries.
- Candidates with hands-on exposure to audit engagement execution and direct coordination with US teams.

Pay: ₹1,200,000.00 - ₹1,600,000.00 per year
