- Define sequence of assembly, tooling, torque settings, and methods to ensure safe and efficient builds.
- Suggest process improvements by identifying technical risks and bottlenecks.
- Support pilot builds and ensure production readiness for new products and variants.
1. Review & Validation of Engineering Information
- Review drawing packages and design information for new product introductions (NPI).
- Communicate drawing/data implications to production, quality, sourcing, stores, and other stakeholders.
- Review BOMs and highlight discrepancies as Internal Non-Conformances (INC).
- Follow up on reported discrepancies to ensure immediate containment and effective corrective actions.
1. BOM Integrity & ERP (SAP) Master Data Management
- Ensure complete accuracy of Manufacturing BOMs in the ERP system for:
✔ Material demand
✔ Job specifications
✔ Costing and planning
- Create/extend material codes in SAP and maintain routings, work centers, and variant data.
- Implement ECO-driven changes into the SAP system, ensuring updated BOM structure and documentation.
1. Engineering Change Management (ECN/ECO)
- Communicate Engineering Changes received from Product Engineering to all manufacturing stakeholders.
- Implement ECOs into the business and update all relevant BOMs and documents.
- Liaise with Engineering to update systems, verify data accuracy, and track progress to closure.
- Ensure ECN/ECO changes do not disrupt assembly flow and are implemented within timelines.
1. Assembly Support &
• Technical Issue Resolution
- Provide daily technical support to assembly teams for fitment issues, drawing mismatches, or BOM gaps.
1. Jigs, Fixtures &
• Tooling Development
- Identify tooling, jig, and fixture needs based on assembly complexity and build challenges.
- Collaborate with vendors or internal teams for design, development, and validation of jigs/fixtures.
- Ensure tools meet ergonomics, safety, and assembly precision requirements.
1. Training &
• Skill Development
- Train or coordinateassembly technicians on new processes, tools, product changes, and assembly methods.
- Conduct hands-on sessions during NPI builds and process rollouts.
1. Continuous Improvement &
• Lean Initiatives
