Project Details

Holtec Asia seeks an Electrical Engineer for the SMR-India Electrical Group to support the design and development of electrical equipment and systems for the SMR-300 program.

Primary responsibilities The position will focus on electrical equipment design, new product development, design optimisation,

testing, and preparation of technical documentation. The role will involve working on motors, generators,

relays, switches, fuses, chargers, and other industrial electrical components, along with coordination with suppliers and cross-functional engineering teams.

Qualifications l Bachelors or masters degree in Electrical Engineering.

l Minimum 5 years experience in electrical equipment design, product development, or electrical R&D.;

l Hands-on experience in the design or development of one or more of the following: motors, generators,

relays, switches, fuses, chargers, or similar industrial electrical components.





l Knowledge of applicable electrical standards such as IEC, IS, BIS, or CE.

l Experience in industrial electrical equipment or electrical manufacturing is preferred.

l Prior experience in nuclear, power, energy, or other safety-critical industries is desirable.

Job requirements:

l Design and development of electrical equipment and components.

l Experience in recent product development, design optimisation, VAVE, or cost-reduction projects.

l Experience in electrical testing, prototype evaluation, and design validation.

l Preparation of technical specifications, datasheets, BOMs, drawings, and engineering documents.

l Ability to review technical and manufacturing issues and provide suitable solutions.

l Experience coordinating with suppliers and cross-functional engineering teams.

l Familiarity with SAP, PLM systems, AutoCAD, or similar engineering tools.

l Ability to work independently and make informed technical decisions.
