About the Role

We are looking for a motivated, confident, and target-oriented Education Counsellor to join our team and drive enrolments for a range of online courses, primarily in the AEC (Architecture, Engineering and Construction) sector.

Our courses are designed for students, fresh graduates, and working professionals looking to upgrade their skills and advance their careers in fields such as architecture, civil engineering, construction, interior design, and related industries. Course offerings may include software training, industry-oriented programmes, professional certifications, and career development courses.

The role involves connecting with prospective students and professionals, understanding their career goals, recommending suitable courses, following up with leads, and converting enquiries into paid enrolments.

The ideal candidate should have excellent communication and convincing skills, a strong interest in education and career counselling, and the ability to achieve sales targets while maintaining a positive student experience.

Key Responsibilities1. Lead Management & Student Counselling

- Connect with prospective students, graduates, and working professionals who enquire about online courses.
- Understand their educational background, career goals, skill gaps, and learning requirements.
- Recommend suitable courses based on their interests, experience, and career aspirations.
- Explain course curriculum, duration, fees, delivery format, certifications, and other relevant details.
- Guide students on the practical benefits of upskilling and professional training in the AEC industry.

1. Sales & Course Enrolments

- Convert incoming enquiries and generated leads into paid course enrolments.
- Conduct counselling calls, online meetings, and follow-ups to address student queries and concerns.
- Explain course features, learning outcomes, payment options, and applicable offers accurately.
- Handle objections related to course fees, time commitment, course suitability, and career outcomes.
- Work towards daily, weekly, and monthly enrolment and revenue targets.

- Identify opportunities to recommend additional courses or advanced learning programmes based on student needs.

1. Lead Follow-ups & Database Management

- Follow up consistently with prospective students through calls, WhatsApp, email, and other approved communication channels.
- Maintain an organised database of enquiries, counselling interactions, follow-up dates, and enrolment status.
- Track leads through the complete sales funnel, from the initial enquiry to successful enrolment.
- Re-engage inactive or undecided leads through timely and relevant follow-ups.
- Update CRM systems, spreadsheets, and sales reports regularly.

1. Course Knowledge & Industry Awareness

- Develop a thorough understanding of the courses offered, including their curriculum, eligibility, duration, fees, and learning outcomes.
- Understand the basics of the AEC industry and its key career paths.
- Familiarise yourself with relevant tools and technologies used in architecture, engineering, and construction, such as AutoCAD, Revit, BIM, SketchUp, 3ds Max, and other industry-specific software, depending on the courses offered.
- Stay informed about industry skill requirements and career development opportunities.
- Clearly communicate the practical value of courses without making unrealistic promises about jobs, salaries, or career outcomes.

1. Student Experience & Coordination

- Assist enrolled students with course-related queries and direct technical or academic questions to the relevant team.
- Coordinate with academic, admissions, and operations teams to ensure a smooth enrolment and onboarding process.
- Communicate important course information, batch schedules, and onboarding instructions to enrolled students.
- Maintain professional relationships with prospective and enrolled students throughout the counselling process.

1. Sales Reporting & Target Achievement

- Track daily calls, follow-ups, counselling sessions, conversions, and revenue generated.
- Prepare regular reports on lead status, conversion rates, and enrolment performance.

- Identify reasons for lost leads and suggest improvements to the counselling and sales process.
- Consistently work towards individual and team sales targets.

Skills & Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in any discipline; a background in marketing, business, education, architecture, or engineering is an advantage.
- 1–3 years of experience in education counselling, inside sales, telecalling, or course sales is preferred.
- Excellent verbal communication, listening, persuasion, and negotiation skills.
- A confident and professional telephone manner.
- Ability to understand student requirements and recommend relevant learning solutions.
- Strong follow-up, time-management, and organisational skills.
- Comfortable working with sales targets and performance metrics.
- Basic knowledge of CRM tools, MS Excel or Google Sheets, WhatsApp, and email communication.
- Willingness to learn about AEC-related courses and industry-specific software.

- Lead-to-enrolment conversion rate.
- Monthly enrolments and revenue generated.
- Follow-up consistency and lead response time.
- Accuracy of CRM updates and sales reporting.

- Exposure to specialised courses in architecture, engineering, construction, and related fields.
- A performance-driven work environment with opportunities for qualified growth.
- Training on course offerings, counselling techniques, and sales processes.
- Opportunities to develop expertise in education sales and career counselling.

Who Would Be a Great Fit? We are looking for someone who enjoys interacting with people, understands the importance of skill development, and can help students make informed decisions about their education and careers.

The ideal candidate will combine genuine counselling skills with a robust sales mindset—someone who can understand a student's needs, recommend the right course, build trust, and convert enquiries into enrolments.
